About

WECAN, Wisconsin Early Childhood Action Needed, is an advocacy organization aimed at increasing public investment in early childhood. We are a grassroots organization, built by educators for educators.  We believe that no one is more capable of advocating for our field than us.  We know that education begins at birth, and we want the rest of Wisconsin to know it too.  

We host trainings for early childhood professionals and community members to help them better advocate for young children and their families.  We work to connect our members to each other, as well as resources and agencies around the state.

We work to establishing relationships with all stakeholders interested in improving the condition of young children, including local business groups, K12 school districts, other advocacy organizations, and local, state and national governmental authorities.
